Here's a guide on how to use LosslessCut:

1. Download and Open:

  • Download LosslessCut for free.
  • Extract the downloaded file and run the LosslessCut application (no installation needed).

2. Open a Video File:

  • Drag and drop a video file into the LosslessCut window.
  • Alternatively, use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + O (Windows/Linux) or ⌘ + O (macOS) to open a file.

3. Set Cut Points:

  • Position the playhead: Use the play button, arrow keys, or timeline scrubbing to find the desired cut points.
  • Mark the start and end:
  • Click the "Set cut to start position" button (scissors icon) to mark the beginning of a segment to keep.
  • Click the "Set cut to end position" button (scissors icon with a line) to mark the end of a segment to keep.
  • You can add multiple segments this way.
  • Invert selection (optional): Click the Yin Yang icon to keep the parts outside of the marked segments and remove the segments themselves.

4. Export the Cut Video:

  • Click the "Export" button (green circle with an arrow).
  • Choose a destination folder and filename for the cut video.
  • LosslessCut will quickly process the video without re-encoding, preserving the original quality.
